Terms of Service

What Merccho does

Merccho reads data from your connected commerce and advertising platforms and presents analysis, alerts and recommendations based on it. Merccho is an analytics and decision-support tool. It does not sell goods, process payments, or hold funds.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us at support@merccho.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

An account owner can invite team members and set their access level. The owner is responsible for who they grant access to and remains responsible for everything those members do.

Connecting your platforms

When you connect a store or an advertising account, you authorise Merccho to read data from it on your behalf, within the permissions you approve. You confirm you have the right to grant that access for the store or ad account you are connecting.

You can disconnect at any time from within Merccho, or by uninstalling the app from your store. Doing so stops all further reading of your data.

An advertising connection applies to your whole Merccho account rather than to a single store, so disconnecting it affects every store on that account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Connect a store or ad account you are not authorised to access, or use Merccho to obtain data belonging to someone else
• Resell, redistribute or sublicense Merccho or its output
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract our source code or models
• Interfere with the service, circumvent rate limits, or attempt to access other customers’ data
• Use Merccho to break the law or the terms of a connected platform

We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why where we are able to.

Your data

Your store data, advertising data and customer data remain yours. We do not claim ownership of them. Our handling of them is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

You grant us the limited right to process that data in order to provide the service to you.

AI-generated insights

Parts of Merccho use automated analysis and AI to produce insights, recommendations and alerts. These are advisory. They can be incomplete or wrong, particularly where the underlying platform data is delayed or incomplete. You are responsible for decisions you make about your business, and you should verify anything material before acting on it.

Third-party platforms

Merccho depends on services we do not control, including Shopify and Meta. If a platform changes its API, restricts access, or is unavailable, some features may stop working. We are not responsible for those platforms or for their handling of your data, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

Availability

Merccho is provided on an as-is basis. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we do not offer an uptime guarantee, and we may change, suspend or withdraw features. Where a change materially reduces functionality you rely on, we will give you reasonable notice.

Fees

Merccho is currently provided free of charge during its early-access period. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you the price and give you notice before any charge applies. You will never be charged without agreeing to a plan first.

Ending your use of Merccho

You can stop using Merccho at any time by uninstalling the app or asking us to close your account. We may end your access if you materially breach these Terms, or if we discontinue the service, in which case we will give you reasonable notice.

When your account ends, your data is deleted as described in our data deletion instructions. Export anything you want to keep before closing your account.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Merccho is not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Mohali (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), Punjab have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them or your use of Merccho.

Before starting proceedings, please raise the matter with us at support@merccho.com. We will work with you in good faith to resolve it, and most issues are settled faster that way than through a court.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will update the date at the top of this page and notify account owners by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Merccho after that means you accept the updated Terms.
